STEP 3: HAVE ONE OR TWO ELEVATOR PITCHES READY

If you took my course Elevate Your Future With Elevator Pitches you know an elevator pitch is a short sales pitch designed to summarize and convince someone of something. You should memorize it and rehearse it until you can recite it from your heart, or at least so it doesn’t sound “canned.”

Most people say to have an elevator pitch ready to convince someone to hire you.

Have a different one for each different field you apply for work in. Also, have a separate elevator pitch to cover anything negative in your past.

Since most people believe in second chances, the goal of the second elevator pitch is to show how you put your past in the past, if it comes up.

And don’t forget step 1: make getting a job your job until you get a job!
